iPad Mail Tip. How To Change Your Signature.

Okay, maybe you have done this one already! Just in case you haven't, I will show you how to get rid of that annoying "Sent from my iPad" line that appears at the bottom of all your emails!

iPad tip. So, you have managed to set up your Mail app correctly and have started sending emails to people. You may or may not have noticed the following:

All of your emails have "Sent from my iPad" at the bottom!

Perhaps you are happy about this! or if you are anything like me, maybe not so happy. The good news is: There is a solution! In fact, you have the ability on your iPad to have anything that you want at the bottom of your email. This is referred to as the signature.

To change your signature:

Go to Settings then touch Mail. About half way down the list of options on the right you will see Signature. Touch this and then you can amend your signature as you wish. The great thing about this box is that it follows all of the rules of formatting that apply when you write an email. By this I mean that you can select bold, italics and underline. It will also recognise web sites. Simply typing in dvd-to-ipad-software.com or any website ending in commonly used suffixes like .com, .org, .net etc, the signature box will then direct anyone who touches the link to the website of your choice. Similarly, you can use Emoji (also known as Emoticons) in your signature, these will only be viewable if your recipient has an iDevice. To learn how to use Emoji, please read my article on the topic.

Changing your signature is a great idea. Take control of your iPad! Customise everything your way!

Enjoy your iPad.
